SUMMER 5-A-SIDE FOOTBALL
For players U6+
Summer 5-a-side football is back for Term 4!
A programme based on one statement: 'Let Them Play!' This will be a fun and social game-based programme. Players will have the freedom to play, experiment, be creative and develop skills in a safe and supportive environment, guided by Wānaka AFC staff and coaches.
This is a mixed programme, open to both boys and girls. Please note: U6 and U7 players may play in smaller teams (eg. 4v4 rather than 5v5)
Age Groups: U6-U9 and U10+

End Date: 11 December, 2024
Day: Wednesdays

- U6-U9: 3:30 - 4:30PM
- U10+: 4:30 - 5:30PM

GIRLS-ONLY SUMMER FOOTBALL
For players U6-U11
Join us on Wednesday afternoons for 8 weeks of Girls-Only Football! For those who have participated in 'Soccer Sisters' in the past - this is a similar programme.
Come and learn some new skills, develop your love for the game and have fun playing football with other girls!
Age Groups: U6-U12

End Date: 11 December, 2024
Day: Wednesdays

PRE-ACADEMY
The Pre-Academy is an open programme for enthusiastic young players who are keen for 'more football.' Players get to be a part of a fun and supportive environment where they can build on the fundamentals of the game, learn and develop new skills and continue to foster their love for football.
The Pre-Academy is offered for two age groups:
- U7 - U9
- U10 - U12
Anyone within this age range is welcome to join us! The Pre-Academy is open to both boys and girls.
When does the Pre-Academy run?
The Pre-Academy runs for 10 weeks, throughout the duration of each term. Each age group will have one training session per week.
Term 4 Training Schedule:
U7 - U9: Monday | 4.00pm - 5.00pm | Kellys Flat
U10 - U12: Thursday | 4.00pm - 5.00pm | Kellys Flat
What are the costs?
The Pre-Academy is $190.00.
Players will also need to purchase the Academy Training Kit to wear for all sessions.
What else can I expect?
- The Pre-Academy programme is designed and led by our Director of Football Ben Sippola and Head Coach Thomas van Hees. Both are experienced, professional NZ Football licensed coaches who work with our team to create sessions according to best practices for the players’ age
- Players are required to arrive for all training sessions in The Academy training kit.
- We always strive to make sessions fun and enjoyable. We also believe in fostering a committed attitude in our players. We encourage them to arrive on time, give their best and contribute to a positive training atmosphere where the focus is on football.
- Training communications will take place through WhatsApp. Our team will set up group chats before the programme commences.
